Infliximab-Abda falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Maritime Pine interacts with.

In vitro and animal research suggests that maritime pine bark extract has immunostimulant activity. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here is the idea behind this pairing. Renflexis (infliximab-abda) is a biologic that works by calming down an overactive immune system, which is exactly what you want when treating conditions like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, or psoriasis. Maritime pine bark (Pycnogenol), on the other hand, has shown some immune-stimulating activity in lab dishes and animal studies. In theory, nudging the immune system up could work against a drug that is trying to quiet it down, which might make your infliximab a bit less effective.

The important thing to know is that this is only theoretical. It has not been seen in actual people, so I would not lose sleep over it. Still, since flare-ups of these conditions are no fun, it is worth mentioning the supplement to your pharmacist or doctor before you start it.
