Here's the gist with your Tylosterone (which combines diethylstilbestrol and methyltestosterone). Marshmallow root is full of a slippery fiber called mucilage. When you swallow it, that gel can coat your stomach and gut lining, and in theory it might grab onto a pill taken at the same time and slow down how much of the medicine gets absorbed.

If less of your hormone medication is absorbed, it could work a bit less reliably over time. To be honest, this is only a theoretical concern based on how the fiber behaves, not something proven with this drug, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The easy fix is simple spacing: take your Tylosterone first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before using marshmallow. Run it past your pharmacist if you take both regularly.
