Simvastatin, Sitagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Miracle Fruit interacts with.

Theoretically, miracle fruit leaf might have an additive effect with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Evidence from an animal model shows that miracle fruit leaf increases insulin production and lowers fasting blood glucose and HbA1c in rats with streptozotocin-induced diabetes. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Juvisync is a combination pill: sitagliptin helps lower your blood sugar, while simvastatin handles cholesterol. The interaction here is really about the diabetes side. In animal studies, miracle fruit leaf seemed to nudge insulin up and bring blood sugar down. If that effect carries over to people, stacking it on top of sitagliptin could in theory push your sugar a little lower than expected.

Honestly, this is very early, lab-and-rat level evidence, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just be aware of low blood sugar signs (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion), especially if you also use other diabetes meds. Enjoying the miracle fruit berry occasionally is unlikely to matter. Before trying concentrated leaf supplements, run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
