Theoretically, pantethine might increase the risk of bleeding with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Some evidence suggests that pantethine reduces platelet aggregation.

Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the gist with streptokinase. It's a powerful clot-busting (thrombolytic) drug given in the hospital during emergencies like a heart attack or a serious clot. Its whole job is to break clots apart, so bleeding is already its main risk. The concern with pantethine is that some research suggests it may make platelets a little less sticky, meaning your blood may clot slightly less easily on its own.

Stacked together, the worry is simply more bleeding risk, like bruising, oozing, or harder-to-stop bleeding. Honestly though, this is mostly theoretical and the evidence is limited. Streptokinase is also only used short-term under close medical supervision, where your team is already watching you carefully. Still, it's worth telling your doctor or pharmacist about any supplements you take.

About Pantethine

What is Pantethine?

  • High cholesterol
  • High triglycerides
  • Heart health support
  • General vitamin B5 supplementation

Pantethine is a derivative of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) that some studies suggest may modestly lower cholesterol and triglycerides. The evidence is limited and not strong enough to replace standard treatments, so talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have heart or cholesterol concerns.
