Acetaminophen, Caffeine, Dihydrocodeine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Parsley interacts with.
Laboratory research suggests that parsley can inhibit CYP1A2.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo pill has three parts, and the one that interacts here is the caffeine. Caffeine is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Lab studies hint that parsley may slow that enzyme down, which could let caffeine linger a bit longer in your system. In real life that might mean feeling more jittery, a racing heart, trouble sleeping, or an upset stomach, basically the usual too-much-coffee feelings.
Here is the important part: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube research, not real patients. Normal cooking amounts of parsley almost certainly won't matter. Concentrated parsley extracts or seed oil are stronger, so if you use those regularly, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor just to be safe.
