Parsley + Flutamide
Flutamide brand names: Eulexin, Euflex.
Parsley has a moderate interaction with Flutamide. Theoretically, parsley might increase serum levels of CYP1A2 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Flutamide
Flutamide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Parsley interacts with.
Laboratory research suggests that parsley can inhibit CYP1A2.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP1A2 to help break down flutamide. Lab research hints that parsley, in concentrated amounts, may slow that enzyme down. If flutamide clears more slowly, a little more could build up in your blood, which in theory might nudge up its side effects, things like diarrhea, nausea, hot flashes, or stress on the liver.
Now the reassuring part: this is theoretical, based only on lab work, not real patient cases. Normal food amounts of parsley on your plate are very unlikely to matter. Concentrated parsley supplements, seed extracts, or the essential oil are the ones to be cautious with. Since flutamide is cancer therapy, just run any parsley supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Flutamide page
“A man taking flutamide (Eulexin) to block testosterone during prostate cancer treatment cannot afford big swings in the drug's level, and most of the 189 supplements on this page are capable of causing exactly that. The bulk of them work through the liver enzyme CYP3A4, which breaks flutamide down.”

About Parsley
What is Parsley?
- Water retention and bloating
- Urinary and bladder support
- Digestive upset
- Freshening breath
- Source of vitamins and antioxidants
Parsley is a popular culinary herb that is safe to eat in normal food amounts and is a good source of vitamins K and C. It is traditionally used as a diuretic and for digestion, but solid human evidence for medicinal benefits is limited. Concentrated supplements, seed extracts, and the essential oil are much stronger than food and should be used cautiously, especially during pregnancy.
About Flutamide
What Is Flutamide Used For?
Brand names: Eulexin, Euflex
Eulexin (flutamide) capsules are used to treat prostate cancer in men. They are always used together with an LHRH agonist (a hormone-lowering injection), never alone.
Eulexin is indicated for two stages of prostate cancer: locally confined Stage B2-C prostate cancer (used alongside goserelin acetate and radiation therapy, starting eight weeks before radiation begins) and Stage D2 metastatic prostate cancer (cancer that has spread beyond the prostate, taken with an LHRH agonist until the disease progresses).
