Mometasone, formoterol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) SUBSTRATES — the group Peppermint interacts with.
In vitro research shows that peppermint oil inhibits CYP2C19. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest picture with your Zenhale inhaler (mometasone plus formoterol) and peppermint. The concern on file is that peppermint oil might block an enzyme called CYP2C19, which could let certain medicines build up. But this is only seen in lab dish studies, not in actual people, so it's a theoretical flag and not something that has caused real problems.
On top of that, mometasone and formoterol aren't mainly cleared through CYP2C19, so this particular pathway likely isn't a big deal for your inhaler. Enjoying peppermint tea or candy should be fine. If you take concentrated peppermint oil capsules daily, just mention it to your pharmacist so they can double-check for you.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES

Clinical research in healthy volunteers shows that a single dose of peppermint oil 600 mg inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes and increases the AUC of felodipine, a CYP3A4 substrate. However, in vitro research suggests that peppermint oil only inhibits CYP3A4 at very high concentrations.

Zenhale combines two active drugs: mometasone (an inhaled steroid) and formoterol (a long-acting bronchodilator). Both are partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Concentrated peppermint oil might slow that enzyme down a little, which could let slightly more of these medicines linger in your body. In theory that could mean more steroid-related effects (like mouth or throat irritation, or hoarseness) or more formoterol effects (like a faster heartbeat, jitteriness, or tremor).
Honestly, this is a fairly weak and mostly theoretical concern. Since these drugs are inhaled, very little enters your bloodstream to begin with. A peppermint candy or cup of tea won't matter. If you regularly take concentrated peppermint oil capsules, just mention it to your pharmacist so they can keep an eye on things.
