Dutasteride, Tamsulosin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Sage interacts with.

Theoretically, sage might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro evidence suggests that aqueous extracts of sage can inhibit CYP3A4. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Your Jalyn capsule combines two medicines, and the tamsulosin part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab dishes, water-based sage extracts seem to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in your body, tamsulosin could linger longer and its effects could feel stronger. With this drug, that mainly means more dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, a stuffy nose, or trouble with ejaculation.

Here's the reassuring part: this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube work, and it has never actually been reported in people. The sage you sprinkle on food is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated sage capsules or oil are a different story, so just mention them to your pharmacist or doctor before adding them.

Sage is a common kitchen herb that is generally safe in food amounts and is traditionally used for sore throats, digestion, sweating, and memory.
