Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine sleep aid, so its whole job is to calm the brain and make you drowsy. Sceletium (kanna) may have its own mild calming, sedative quality. Put the two together and those effects can stack up. The concern here isn't that one changes how the other is broken down, it's simply that two sedating things can add to each other.

In plain terms, you could feel extra drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady on your feet the next morning. I'll be honest though, this is a theoretical caution based on how each acts in the body, not strong human data. Still, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you're older or prone to falls.
