Here's the basic concern with pairing kanna (Sceletium) and oxycodone. Oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever, and one of its built-in effects is calming down the nervous system. That's what causes the drowsiness, foggy thinking, and slowed breathing opioids are known for. Some early research hints that Sceletium may have its own mild sedating quality, so stacking the two could add up and leave you more sleepy or sluggish than you'd expect.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is theoretical, based on how the plant behaves in lab settings, not on real cases in people taking both. It may turn out to be minor. Still, since oxycodone already affects breathing and alertness, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
