Here's the simple version: oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever, and one of its main effects is slowing down the central nervous system. That's what causes drowsiness, slowed breathing, and that foggy, sedated feeling. Lemon balm seems to have its own mild calming, sedating effect, so taking the two together could add up and leave you sleepier or more sluggish than expected.

This concern is mostly theoretical and based on limited research, so it isn't a dramatic interaction for most people. Still, with a medication as powerful as oxycodone, I'd play it safe. If you notice extra drowsiness, dizziness, or feel groggy, take it easy and don't drive. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially with concentrated lemon balm supplements.
