Here's the thing to keep in mind: lemon balm has a mild calming, sedative quality, and cetirizine (Zyrtec) can already make some people feel a little drowsy even though it's one of the less sedating antihistamines. When you put the two together, those gentle relaxing effects can stack up. You might notice more sleepiness, slower reaction time, or feeling foggy or tired during the day.

This isn't a dangerous chemical clash, and the evidence is mostly theoretical, drawn from small studies and animal research, so it may not affect everyone. Still, it's worth being cautious before driving or doing anything that needs sharp focus until you know how the combo hits you. If you're unsure, a quick chat with your pharmacist is a smart move.

What Is Cetirizine Injection Used For?

Brand names: Cetirizine, Zyrtec, Quzyttir

Quzyttir (cetirizine injection) is approved to treat acute urticaria — a sudden outbreak of hives — in adults and in children 6 months of age and older. It is given by intravenous (IV) injection in a medically supervised setting.

Quzyttir is not recommended for children under 6 years of age who have impaired kidney or liver function.
