Menotropins falls under THYROID HORMONE — the group Lemon Balm interacts with.

Theoretically, lemon balm might interfere with thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
In vitro, constituents of lemon balm extract bind to thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), preventing TSH receptor-binding and leading to the inhibition of TSH-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity. In animals, lemon balm extract has been shown to decrease levels of circulating TSH and inhibit thyroid secretion.

Here's something worth flagging, though it may not even apply to you. The interaction we have on file is between lemon balm and thyroid hormone medications. Menotropins (Menopur, Repronex) isn't actually a thyroid drug. It's an injectable fertility medication that supplies FSH and LH to help your ovaries develop eggs during treatment cycles. So this particular database entry doesn't line up with how menotropins works in your body.

The lemon balm research itself is also very early, based only on lab and animal studies, where some plant compounds seemed to lower TSH and dampen thyroid activity. That's a long way from proven in people. To be safe, mention any herbal supplements to your fertility clinic, since they like to know everything you're taking during a cycle.
