Menotropins falls under THYROID HORMONE — the group Acetyl-l-carnitine interacts with.

Theoretically, acetyl-L-carnitine might decrease the effectiveness of thyroid hormone replacement.
L-carnitine appears to act as a peripheral thyroid hormone antagonist by inhibiting entry of thyroid hormone into the nucleus of cells. Taking L-carnitine also seems to diminish some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. It is unclear if such an interaction would occur with acetyl-L-carnitine.

Here's something worth flagging: the interaction in our system is actually written for thyroid hormone medications, not for Menotropins. Menotropins (Menopur, Repronex) is an injectable fertility medicine made of FSH and LH that stimulates the ovaries during fertility treatment. It works in a completely different way from thyroid hormone, so the carnitine effect described here, blocking thyroid hormone from entering cells, doesn't really apply to it.

Because of that mismatch, I can't tell you there's a true, established interaction between acetyl-L-carnitine and Menotropins. The honest answer is that it's unclear. Since fertility cycles are carefully timed and closely monitored, please check with your fertility clinic or pharmacist before adding any supplement so nothing complicates your treatment.
