Acetyl-l-carnitine + Desvenlafaxine
Desvenlafaxine brand names: Pristiq, Khedezla.
Acetyl-l-carnitine has a moderate interaction with Desvenlafaxine. Theoretically, acetyl-L-carnitine might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome and cerebral vasoconstrictive disorders, when taken with serotonergic drugs.

SEROTONERGIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Desvenlafaxine
Desvenlafaxine falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Acetyl-l-carnitine interacts with.
Animal research shows that acetyl-L-carnitine can increase levels of serotonin in the brain.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) already raises serotonin levels in your brain to help with depression. Acetyl-L-carnitine, at least in animal studies, may also nudge serotonin upward. Stack the two and, in theory, you could get a bit too much serotonin activity. That's what's behind the worry about serotonin syndrome, which can show up as agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shakiness, fever, or confusion.
I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This concern comes from lab and animal research, not from people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, because both push serotonin the same direction, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding the supplement, and watching for those symptoms if you do.
