Here's the simple version: lemon balm has a mild calming, sedating quality, and flibanserin (Addyi) already tends to cause drowsiness, dizziness, and sometimes low blood pressure or fainting. Put the two together and those effects can stack up, so you might feel sleepier or more lightheaded than you'd expect from either one alone. This isn't about lemon balm changing how your liver breaks the drug down. It's just two things that both relax the nervous system adding up.

The evidence here is on the softer side and largely theoretical, so it's a 'be aware,' not a 'panic.' Since flibanserin is usually taken at bedtime and already carries a warning about drowsiness, I'd run any regular lemon balm supplement by your pharmacist or doctor first, and go easy until you know how the combo feels.

What Is Flibanserin Used For?

Brand name: Addyi

Addyi is approved to treat acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) — a condition where low sexual desire causes significant distress or relationship difficulty — in women under 65. "Acquired" means the low desire developed after a period of normal desire; "generalized" means it happens regardless of the situation or partner.

Addyi is not intended for use in men, and it is not a sexual performance enhancer. It is also not meant for HSDD that is caused by a medical condition, a psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or another medication.
