Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Brexanolone (Zulresso) is a calming medication given by IV in a clinic for postpartum depression, and one of its known effects is making you sleepy or even causing sudden, deep drowsiness. Lemon balm is a gentle herb, but in both animal and human studies it shows mild calming, sedative-type activity of its own.

Put them together and those calming effects could add up, possibly leaving you more drowsy, lightheaded, or sluggish than expected. This is a theoretical, lower-strength concern, not a proven danger, and brexanolone is already given under close monitoring. Still, mention any lemon balm tea or supplements to your care team before your infusion so they can keep you safe.
