Here's the simple version: Aristada (aripiprazole lauroxil) is a long-acting antipsychotic injection, and one of its common side effects is feeling drowsy or sluggish. Sceletium (kanna) seems to have mild calming, sedative-type effects of its own. So the worry here is simple addition: putting the two together could leave you more tired, foggy, or unsteady than the medicine alone.

I want to be honest about how strong this concern is. It's theoretical, based on how each one acts in the body, not on real cases of people running into trouble. Sceletium also nudges serotonin, which is worth keeping in mind. Since your injection stays in your system for weeks, you can't easily undo it, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding kanna rather than starting it on your own.

Aripiprazole injection is used to treat schizophrenia and to provide maintenance treatment for bipolar I disorder in adults. Different injectable products carry these approvals.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
