Sonidegib Phosphate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Syrian Rue interacts with.

Theoretically, Syrian rue might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Syrian rue contains beta-carboline alkaloids, including harmine, harmol, and harmane. In vitro research suggests that these beta-carboline alkaloids competitively inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes.

Here's the short version: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear sonidegib (Odomzo) out of your system. Lab studies hint that the harmala alkaloids in Syrian Rue can slow that same enzyme down. If that happens, sonidegib could build up higher than expected in your blood, which may mean more of its known side effects, things like muscle spasms and cramps, fatigue, nausea, hair loss, or changes in taste. There's also a real concern of rising muscle enzyme levels (your doctor watches for this).

I want to be honest, though: this warning is theoretical, based on test-tube research rather than people taking these two together. Even so, sonidegib is a serious cancer medicine, so please don't add Syrian Rue without first checking with your oncologist or pharmacist.
