No Known Interaction
The bottom line No known interaction

We found no known interaction between Trendione and Semaglutide in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Trendione and Semaglutide

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Semaglutide and Trendione in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Trendione at all — not against Semaglutide, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Semaglutide Is Prescribed For, and What Trendione Has Been Studied For

These two come up together because they touch the same health topic — not because they do the same job. Semaglutide is a prescription medicine with approved uses on its FDA label. Trendione is a supplement: what follows is what researchers have looked at it for, and how strong that evidence is.

Semaglutide is prescribed for: Semaglutide is available as Wegovy (injection and tablet) and Ozempic (injection), and each product has its own approved uses. Wegovy injection is approved — alongside diet and exercise — to reduce excess body weight in adults and in children aged 12 and older with obesity, to lower the risk of serious heart events (heart attack, stroke, or cardiovascular death) in adults with obesity or overweight who also have established heart disease, and for treatment of a liver condition called MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, formerly called NASH) with moderate-to-advanced scarring in adults. Wegovy tablets share the cardiovascular risk reduction and weight management uses in adults, but are not approved for MASH or for use in children. Ozempic injection is approved to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes (alongside diet and exercise) and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes who also have established heart disease.

All forms are used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Ozempic is not approved for type 1 diabetes. The MASH approval for Wegovy injection is an accelerated approval, meaning continued approval may depend on results from a confirmatory study.

    Trendione for obesity

Although there is interest in using trendione for weight loss, there is insufficient reliable information about the clinical effects of trendione for this purpose.

Effectiveness ratings and the research summaries above are the verbatim record from the Natural Medicines database, which grades evidence from “Effective” down to “Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate”. A rating below the top of that scale means researchers have looked at it — not that it works, and never that it can stand in for a prescribed medicine. Do not stop or replace Semaglutide on your own; if you are taking Trendione for the same health topic, tell your prescriber, especially if the medicine is being adjusted to a target.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Semaglutide page

“Semaglutide (Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy) lowers blood sugar, and so do most of the 256 supplements on this page, which is why I read this list with real vigilance rather than a shrug. Nearly all of the entries either add to its glucose-lowering effect and raise the risk of hypoglycemia, or push sugar the other way and blunt it, as niaci…”

  • Body recomposition
  • Athletic performance

Trendione (also marketed as estra-4,9,11-trien-3,17-dione) is a synthetic anabolic steroid sold as a so-called "prohormone" or "designer steroid," not a natural herb or vitamin. It is not a legitimate dietary supplement, has not been proven safe in humans, and is linked to potentially serious side effects, including liver harm. We strongly advise against using it and recommend talking with your doctor or pharmacist.

Not applicable; Trendione is a synthetic steroid compound, not a plant part · Capsules, tablets, oral powders (sold as a bodybuilding supplement)

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Trendione is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Trendione record says about it on its own.

Trendione: dosing

There is no established safe or effective dose for Trendione. Because it is a synthetic steroid rather than a studied medicine, no health authority has set a recommended amount. We do not provide dosing for this product because we do not recommend using it.
