Here's the thing to keep in mind: both Tribulus and metformin can nudge your blood sugar in the same direction, which is down. Metformin already works to lower glucose, and some research in people with type 2 diabetes suggests Tribulus can add a little extra lowering on top of that. Stack them together and your sugar could dip lower than you expect.

That could show up as the usual low-blood-sugar signs: shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling foggy and irritable. The good news is metformin on its own rarely causes serious lows, and this combo is rated as only a possible concern based on limited evidence. Still, I'd loop in your pharmacist or doctor before starting Tribulus so you can keep an eye on your numbers.
