PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS
Why this applies to Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine
Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Wild Carrot interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the gist for Zutripro (a combo of hydrocodone, pseudoephedrine, and chlorpheniramine). Wild carrot contains plant compounds that, at least on paper, may make your skin a bit more sensitive to sunlight. Some medicines can do the same thing, so the worry is that pairing them might add up and leave you more prone to sunburn, redness, or a rash after being outdoors.
That said, this is a theoretical concern only, based on how these substances behave, not on real-world reports of people running into trouble. It's not about hydrocodone building up or losing its effect. If you do use wild carrot, just be sun-smart: wear sunscreen, cover up, and limit strong midday sun. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially since wild carrot's benefits aren't well proven.

- Menstrual support
- Supporting milk production
- Mild diuretic (water pill) effect
Wild carrot is a traditional herb (the wild ancestor of the garden carrot) used mostly for urinary, digestive, and menstrual complaints.
