Anidulafungin (Eraxis) is an IV antifungal for serious infections, usually given to people who are already quite ill, and nearly all 41 ingredients on this list push the same way, toward added strain on the liver. That is not a pattern to shrug off. Three entries are rated major, and two of them are simply alcohol, beer and wine, which can raise the risk of liver damage when paired with drugs that stress the liver. The third, Siberian cocklebur, has been linked to liver failure on its own.

The 35 moderate entries repeat the theme, herbs with their own records of liver injury whose damage could stack on top of the drug's. Only the three minor entries, involving other antifungal ingredients, differ.
