Anidulafungin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Camphor interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of camphor with other hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver damage.
There have been a few case reports of transient elevations in liver enzymes in adults after oral or topical use of camphor. There has also been one case of hepatotoxicity in an infant after topical camphor use.

Here's the gist: anidulafungin (Eraxis) is an IV antifungal that, like many medicines, can occasionally stress your liver. Camphor has its own track record here too. There are a handful of reports where people had a temporary bump in liver enzymes after using camphor, even from rubbing it on the skin, plus one worrying case in an infant. So the concern is simply about two things that can each nudge liver enzymes being used at the same time.

I want to be honest with you though: this is a theoretical caution, not something proven to happen with this combo. Still, while you're on anidulafungin, it makes sense to go easy on camphor rubs and let your care team know. They're likely already watching your liver labs. Never swallow camphor, and check with your pharmacist if you're unsure.

Camphor is a strong-smelling compound from the camphor tree (or made synthetically) that is used in many topical rub-on products for muscle aches, itching, and chest congestion.
