Melphalan is chemotherapy, most often given for multiple myeloma, and anything that weakens it can cost real ground against the cancer, so treat this list with genuine care. The one major entry is activated charcoal, which soaks up drugs in the gut and can lower melphalan exposure even when the drug is given by IV. The rest mostly split two ways: bulky fibers and gel formers that may slow or block absorption of the oral capsules, and antioxidant supplements, vitamin C among them, that in theory could blunt the free-radical damage the drug uses against cancer cells.

Fourteen of the 25 entries rate moderate and ten minor, and much of the antioxidant concern rests on theory rather than firm human data. With chemotherapy, though, a quietly weakened dose is not a risk worth testing on yourself.
