HelloPharmacist Scorecard of 1-Andro Max V2 by Primeval Labs
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product has 2 active ingredients. The main one is 1-androsterone, a prohormone that your body converts into testosterone-like androgens after you ingest it.
The other active ingredient is 6,7 dihydroxybergamottin. The rest are inactive ingredients — binders, fillers, and capsule material like microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, and magnesium stearate.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for 1-androsterone and athletic performance is insufficient — we don't have reliable data to say whether it works for that goal. The safety testing on this compound is also very limited, so we can't say much about what it actually does in real use.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
This is a hormonal compound with real health risks and limited safety testing. The most common side effects reported are changes in cholesterol (LDL goes up, HDL goes down), liver enzyme elevations, and kidney problems.
In studies lasting just 4 weeks, people showed significant drops in kidney function (GFR dropped below normal range, around 16 points) and rises in a marker of kidney stress, even though creatinine itself stayed in normal range. That's concerning for potential kidney impairment.
Do not use this during pregnancy — it's a hormone-altering compound and safety data advises against it. Avoid while breastfeeding too, because we don't know the hormonal risks to your baby.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your pharmacist if you take testosterone or any testosterone-based hormone therapy (patches, injections, gels, or creams). 1-androsterone can add to testosterone's effects and raise the risk of mood, heart, kidney, and liver problems.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.
This is a hormone-based supplement with documented effects on cholesterol, liver, and kidney function in short-term studies. If you take testosterone or any hormonal medication, you need to check with your pharmacist before using it.
Even if you don't, the limited safety data means talking with your doctor first is a smart move — especially if you have liver, kidney, or heart concerns.
