Acida-Zyme contains 2 active ingredients: betaine hydrochloride and pepsin. Betaine hydrochloride is a form of hydrochloric acid meant to increase stomach acidity and support digestion.
Pepsin is a protease—a digestive enzyme that breaks down proteins in the stomach. The product also contains two inactive ingredients: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and vegetable lubricant, which help form and lubricate the capsule.
