By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed

Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

L-Glutamine is generally well tolerated by healthy adults. The most common side effects are gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, and stomach pain—especially at higher doses.

A small number of people have reported dizziness; in one case it resolved when the dose was lowered. Two people with bipolar disorder reported mania or hypomania while taking glutamine supplements, suggesting caution if you have a mood disorder.

If you have kidney or liver disease, use this only under medical supervision. There isn't enough safety data to recommend supplement doses during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor specifically advises it.

Check anticonvulsant medications (seizure drugs) with Advanced Daily Biotic before you take it—L-Glutamine may theoretically reduce their effectiveness. We could not check Lactobacillus rhamnosus against your other medications, so mention all of them to your pharmacist.
