What’s inside

Low disclosure
Ingredient Transparency · database check
Low

Most active ingredients don't disclose an individual amount — you can't tell how much of each you're getting.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 0 of its 5 active ingredients.
  • “Ormus” is listed as a grouped ingredient — the label doesn't break down how much of each component you get.

This liquid contains 5 ingredients: salt, distilled water, ormus (a blend), fulvic acid, and bamboo salt sole. Fulvic acid is an organic compound studied for immune and thyroid function.

Bamboo salt sole is bamboo shoot extract — a food source also used as a supplement. The product has no listed inactive fillers or binders.

Not established
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not established

The graded evidence we hold for these ingredients covers different conditions than the ones this product is marketed for, so there's no established rating for its stated use.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: energy supplement.
  • We looked for evidence on: Fatigue.
  • The closest evidence on file: Fulvic Acid is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Fatigue (Natural Medicines).

Evidence for what this product does isn't established in our data. Fulvic acid and bamboo both carry effectiveness ratings across several uses (respiratory infections, lead toxicity, eczema, fatigue, hay fever for fulvic acid; dental cavities for bamboo), but all are rated Insufficient Reliable Evidence — meaning we don't have solid proof either way.

If you're considering this for a specific health goal, talk with your pharmacist about what the research actually supports.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 2 of the 2 matched ingredients.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 2.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 2 of 2.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Fulvic acid appears well tolerated in the short term, though high-quality human safety data is limited. The most common side effects are diarrhea, headache, and sore throat.

A rare serious effect (Kashin-Beck bone disease) has been documented. Bamboo shoots are safe when properly cooked, but raw shoots contain cyanide compounds — safety of bamboo supplements isn't well studied.

Topical contact dermatitis has been reported. Avoid this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding; there isn't enough safety data for either.

Moderate interaction found
Known Interaction Concern · database check
Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 2 of the 2 matched ingredients can interact with medications — Bamboo, Fulvic Acid.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs; immunosuppressants / transplant drugs.
  • For scale: 262 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Double-check this product if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin), thyroid medication, immunosuppressants, or antithyroid drugs. Fulvic acid may reduce how well your blood thinners work and interfere with thyroid therapy.

Bamboo may strengthen antithyroid drug effects. Ask your pharmacist to verify your specific medications.

Bamboo Salt Sole1 drug type · 5 drugs

Antithyroid Drugs

Theoretically, long-term bamboo use might increase the effects and adverse effects of antithyroid drugs, possibly leading to hypothyroidism.
Animal research suggests that long-term consumption of bamboo shoot can decrease thyroid peroxidase activity, as well as levels of thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). This effect has not yet been reported in humans.

Air, Water, Earth, and Fire Ormus Elements by Ormus Minerals: Common Questions

Does Air, Water, Earth, and Fire Ormus Elements by Ormus Minerals interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Air, Water, Earth, and Fire Ormus Elements has a known interaction with 262 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Air, Water, Earth, and Fire Ormus Elements contains 5 active ingredients, and an interaction can come from any of them. We check every ingredient, combine the results into one list per medication, and show which ingredient and mechanism is responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
What is ormus, and what does it do?
Ormus is a blend listed as one of the five ingredients in this product. We don't have effectiveness data on ormus itself in our monographs — the product doesn't cite studies showing what it's meant to do.
Is this safe to take while I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. The safety data for both fulvic acid and bamboo is too limited during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so you should avoid this product in both cases. Talk with your doctor before considering it.
What are the side effects?
Most common are diarrhea, headache, and sore throat. Fulvic acid is generally well tolerated in the short term, but long-term safety data in humans is limited. A rare serious effect called Kashin-Beck bone disease has been documented.
Can I take this if I'm on thyroid medication?
Not without checking with your pharmacist first. Both fulvic acid and bamboo in this product interact with thyroid therapy — fulvic acid may interfere with how your thyroid levels normalize, and bamboo may increase antithyroid drug effects. Run your exact medications through our checker.
Does this product have any fillers or other additives?
No inactive ingredients are listed — it's just the five active ingredients: salt, distilled water, ormus, fulvic acid, and bamboo salt sole.
What does fulvic acid do?
Fulvic acid is being studied for several uses — respiratory infections, lead toxicity, eczema, fatigue, and hay fever — but our data shows insufficient reliable evidence that it works for any of them.
