Here is the idea behind this pairing. Alefacept (Amevive) is an injectable medicine that calms down part of your immune system, which is exactly how it helps clear stubborn plaque psoriasis. Fulvic acid, on the other hand, has shown in animal studies that it may rev the immune system up a bit. So in theory, the two could work against each other, and your alefacept might not control your psoriasis as well as it should.

I want to be honest with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal data, not real human studies, so we truly do not know if it matters in people. Before adding a fulvic acid supplement, just run it by your prescriber or pharmacist so you do not risk weakening a treatment that is working for you.
