Theoretically, taking fulvic acid may decrease the effectiveness of anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro evidence shows that fulvic acid, formed from the oxidation and polymerization of protocatechuic acid, can shorten prothrombin time in human plasma, increasing the risk of clot formation.

Here's the gist for bivalirudin (Angiomax). It's a powerful blood thinner given through an IV, usually in the hospital during procedures like a cardiac catheterization to keep clots from forming. The concern with fulvic acid is that, in test-tube studies, it shortened how long it took blood to clot. In plain terms, that could push in the opposite direction of what bivalirudin is trying to do, possibly making the drug less effective at preventing clots.

Now the reassuring part: this is purely theoretical, based on lab dish research, not on real people taking both. And bivalirudin is given by your medical team in a controlled hospital setting where your clotting is monitored. Still, always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any supplements you take so nothing catches them off guard.
