Here's the thinking behind this one. Alemtuzumab (Campath) works by calming or steering your immune system to attack cancer cells, and in leukemia care it actually lowers immune defenses as part of how it does its job. Fulvic acid, on the other hand, has shown signs in animal and lab studies of revving the immune system up. So in theory, the two could work against each other, and that might blunt some of what your treatment is trying to do.

I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical concern only, not something proven in people. Still, since cancer therapy is serious business, I'd skip the fulvic acid and run it by your oncologist or pharmacist before adding any supplement during treatment.

What Is Alemtuzumab Injection (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) Used For?

Brand name: Campath

Alemtuzumab (brand name Lemtrada) is approved for adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) — including relapsing-remitting MS and active secondary progressive MS. Because it carries serious risks, it is generally reserved for people who have already tried at least two other MS medications without adequate results.

It is not recommended for people with clinically isolated syndrome (CIS), a first episode of MS-like symptoms, due to its risk profile.
