The most common side effects are stomach discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, fatigue, rash, and itching — especially at higher doses or beyond 2 weeks of use.

Rare but serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported. Skin reactions can be severe and include Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
