The other ingredients either have insufficient evidence or, in uva ursi's case, are rated possibly ineffective for their traditional use (urinary tract infections). If cellulite reduction is your goal, the science behind these particular herbs in this formulation simply isn't there in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Boxwood extract is the biggest safety flag here. The raw plant is toxic, and while processed extracts are used in this product, safety data are limited.
Boxwood extract seems well tolerated when taken by mouth, but whole boxwood leaf can cause serious effects including vomiting, diarrhea, severe cramping, and even paralysis. Elderflower is generally well tolerated when properly prepared, but raw parts can be toxic.
Rosemary is safe in normal culinary amounts, but concentrated extracts require caution. Uva ursi is generally well tolerated at low doses short-term, but can be toxic in high doses or with prolonged use; it may cause diarrhea, nausea, stomach upset, or vomiting.
Common side effects from a tea containing elderflower and other herbs included diarrhea and cramping, though it's unclear which ingredient caused them. White willow and broom heather — we have very limited human safety and effectiveness data on broom heather, and we hold no interaction data on white willow.

This creates a Moderate-severity interaction risk with both anticholinergic drugs (which block acetylcholine) and cholinergic drugs (which mimic it), potentially reducing effectiveness or causing unwanted side effects.

Rosemary extract presents Moderate interactions with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or clopidogrel, as it may increase bleeding risk. It also theoretically increases low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) risk with diabetes medications, and has additive effects with aspirin and other salicylate-containing pain relievers.
A minor interaction exists with certain medications your liver processes via the CYP1A2 pathway.
Elderfower extract carries a Moderate interaction with diabetes medications, again raising hypoglycemia risk. Uva ursi extract interacts Moderately with lithium (a psychiatric medication—diuretic effects may raise lithium levels dangerously), with several types of medications your liver processes (CYP2C19 and CYP3A4 substrates, and glucuronidated drugs), and with urinary acidifying agents.
A minor interaction exists with P-glycoprotein substrates. Broom heather extract was checked with no interactions documented.

Uva Ursi Glycerite Liquid Extract
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, uva ursi may decrease the metabolism of CYP2C19 substrates.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit cytochrome CYP2C19. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, uva ursi may decrease the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Glucuronidated Drugs
Theoretically, uva ursi may increase levels of drugs metabolized by glucuronidation.
In vitro, uva ursi extract appears to strongly inhibit UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) 1A1 (UGT1A1). However, uva ursi extract does not appear to inhibit UGT1A1 in animal models. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Lithium
Theoretically, uva ursi may increase lithium levels, necessitating a decrease in dose.
Uva ursi may have diuretic properties. Diuretics may increase lithium reabsorption with sodium in the proximal tubule of the kidney. Theoretically, uva ursi might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium.
Urinary Acidifying Agents
Effects of uva ursi in the urinary tract may be reduced by urinary acidifying agents.
Uva ursi seems to work best in alkaline urine. Theoretically, taking uva ursi with medications known to acidify the urine may decrease any effects of uva ursi on the urinary tract.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
Theoretically, uva ursi may alter the levels of drugs transported by P-glycoprotein.
In vitro, uva ursi appears to inhibit the multi-drug transporter protein, P-glycoprotein. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Rosemary Glycerite Liquid Extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, rosemary may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that rosemary inhibits platelet aggregation.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking rosemary with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research shows that rosemary extract can decrease blood glucose levels in diabetic models. However, research in humans is conflicting. Although rosemary powder decreased blood glucose levels in healthy adults, no change in blood glucose levels was seen in adults with type 2 diabetes, most of whom were taking antidiabetes drugs.
Aspirin
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as aspirin.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylates.
Choline Magnesium Trisalicylate (Trilisate)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as choline magnesium trisalicylate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Salsalate (Disalcid)
Theoretically, rosemary might have additive effects with salicylate-containing drugs such as salsalate.
Rosemary is reported to contain salicylate.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, rosemary might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that rosemary induces CYP1A2 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Boxwood Glycerite Liquid Extract
Anticholinergic Drugs
Evidence from in vitro research suggests that boxwood extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, concurrent use of anticholinergic drugs and boxwood might decrease the effectiveness of boxwood or the anticholinergic agent.
Cholinergic Drugs
Evidence from in vitro research suggests that boxwood extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, concurrent use of boxwood with other cholinergic drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of cholinergic side effects.
Elderflower Glycerite Liquid Extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, elderflower might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
In vitro research suggests that elderflower might lower blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
