Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This gummy contains 2 active ingredients. Apple cider vinegar—a fermented apple product—is the main component.
Chromium is a trace mineral that plays a role in blood-sugar metabolism. The product also contains several inactive ingredients (maltitol syrup, erythritol, pectin, sodium citrate, malic acid, natural apple flavor, citric acid, and curcumin) that serve as sweeteners, thickeners, and flavorings.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that apple cider vinegar works for acne, athletic performance, cognitive function, dental plaque, depression, or eczema—the evidence is just insufficient to say. Chromium, on the other hand, is likely effective for chromium deficiency and possibly effective for diabetes.
For prediabetes (impaired glucose tolerance) and schizophrenia, chromium is rated possibly ineffective, and for high blood pressure it's also possibly ineffective.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
In small food amounts, apple cider vinegar is well tolerated. However, large doses or long-term medicinal use carry risks: rare serious side effects include low potassium, high renin levels, and bone loss (osteoporosis) after years of heavy use.
One documented case involved drinking 250 mL daily for 6 years. Topically, apple cider vinegar may cause chemical burns and skin irritation.
Chromium is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses, but common side effects in some people include stomach upset, headaches, trouble sleeping, irritability, and mood changes. Rare serious effects include kidney and liver damage and blood disorders.
The product advises caution with large or long-term doses because safety data is limited.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check these medication types before you start: diuretics (water pills)—especially if they're potassium-depleting; insulin and other blood-sugar drugs; levothyroxine (thyroid hormone); digoxin (heart medication); and NSAIDs or aspirin. Use the medication checker on this page to search your specific drugs.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take diuretics, insulin, other diabetes drugs, levothyroxine (thyroid hormone), digoxin (a heart medication), or NSAIDs, check your exact medications with the tool on this page before starting this product. Even if you don't take medications, large or long-term use carries risks that aren't fully studied.

Apple Cider Vegan Gummies by New Nordic Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
New Nordic's Apple Cider Vegan Gummies contain two active ingredients—apple cider vinegar and chromium—both of which interact with medications.
The most serious concern is with diuretic drugs (water pills): apple cider vinegar may increase the risk of low potassium levels (hypokalemia), especially if you're already taking a potassium-depleting diuretic. A documented case shows chronic use of apple cider vinegar caused low potassium.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Both ingredients also interact with insulin and other blood-sugar drugs (antidiabetes medications). Apple cider vinegar and chromium may each lower blood glucose, raising the theoretical risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if you use them together with these medications.
Chromium has shown this effect in clinical research; apple cider vinegar's effect is less certain. There's also a Moderate-severity interaction between chromium and levothyroxine (thyroid hormone)—chromium can reduce how much levothyroxine your body absorbs by as much as 17%.
Apple cider vinegar carries a separate Moderate-severity concern with digoxin (a heart medication): low potassium from the vinegar could increase the risk of heart-related toxicity. Chromium has Minor-severity interactions with NSAIDs and aspirin, which may increase how much chromium your body absorbs.
Altogether, these interactions span 253 individual medications. Use the checker below to see whether any of your prescriptions are affected before you start this product.

Chromium
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, chromium may have additive effects with antidiabetic agents and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some research shows that taking chromium might lower blood glucose levels, especially in patients with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes.
Insulin
Theoretically, concomitant use of chromium and insulin might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In clinical research, chromium has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity,
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Others)
Chromium might bind levothyroxine in the intestinal tract and decrease levothyroxine absorption.
Clinical research in healthy volunteers shows that taking chromium picolinate 1000 mcg with levothyroxine 1 mg decreases serum levels of levothyroxine by 17% when compared to taking levothyroxine alone. Advise patients to take levothyroxine at least 30 minutes before or 3-4 hours after taking chromium.
Aspirin
Theoretically, aspirin might increase chromium absorption.
Animal research suggests that aspirin may increase chromium absorption and chromium levels in the blood.
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (Nsaids)
NSAIDs might increase chromium levels in the body.
Drugs that are prostaglandin inhibitors, such as NSAIDs, seem to increase chromium absorption and retention.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Digoxin (Lanoxin)
Theoretically, concomitant use of apple cider vinegar with digoxin might increase the risk of cardiac toxicity.
A case of hypokalemia related to chronic use of apple cider vinegar has been reported. Theoretically, overuse of apple cider vinegar could decrease potassium levels, increasing the risk of toxicity with digoxin.
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of apple cider vinegar with diuretic drugs might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
A case of hypokalemia related to chronic use of apple cider vinegar has been reported. There is some concern that people taking apple cider vinegar along with potassium depleting diuretics might have an increased risk for hypokalemia.
Insulin
Theoretically, concomitant use of apple cider vinegar with insulin might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
A case of hypokalemia related to chronic use of apple cider vinegar has been reported. Theoretically, overuse of apple cider vinegar concomitantly with insulin might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking apple cider vinegar with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Apple cider vinegar might reduce fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels and decrease gastric emptying in people with diabetes. However, not all research agrees. Theoretically, it might have additive effects on glucose levels when used with antidiabetes drugs.
