Cerebra GPC is a liquid supplement containing one active ingredient: alpha-GPC (also called GPC). Alpha-GPC is a compound naturally found in the brain that plays a role in cell structure and communication.
The liquid also contains two inactive ingredients — deionized water and vegetable glycerin — as the base.

The evidence for alpha-GPC is mixed. It's rated possibly effective for Alzheimer disease, meaning some studies suggest a benefit.
For cognitive function, brain tumors, vascular dementia, and stroke, the evidence is insufficient — we don't have reliable data to know either way whether it helps.
How safe is it?

Alpha-GPC is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth, but long-term safety isn't fully established. Rarely, people have reported dizziness, headache, insomnia, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting.
There's also a rare serious concern: alpha-GPC use for at least 2 months has been associated with an elevated stroke risk compared with non-users or shorter-term users. The product's safety information notes there isn't enough data for some uses, so talk with your doctor before starting.

Theoretically, alpha-GPC might decrease the effects of scopolamine.
A small clinical study shows that alpha-GPC can partially counteract the attention and memory impairment effects caused by scopolamine given intramuscularly. Whether alpha-GPC can decrease the beneficial anti-motion sickness effects of the scopolamine patch (Transderm Scop) is unclear.
