Cleanse Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Cleanse against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Cleanse by Paradise Ayur-Pro Rx
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Cleanse contains 4 ingredients, starting with a proprietary blend of herbal extracts that breaks down into its individual components: organic Triphala fruit extract, organic Amalaki (Indian gooseberry), organic Bibhitaki, organic Haritaki, and organic Aragvadha (Cassia fistula) extract. These are traditional Ayurvedic herbs meant to support digestive health.
The product also contains one inactive ingredient—a vegetarian capsule.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Indian gooseberry, the one ingredient we have effectiveness data for, is rated possibly effective for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and dyslipidemia (abnormal blood fat levels). For high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) and male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia), the evidence is insufficient to rate it.
We hold no effectiveness data for the other herbal ingredients in this blend.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Indian gooseberry is generally well tolerated as a food, but safety at supplement doses is less studied. The safety data advises against taking this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In clinical trials, a small number of participants reported stomach discomfort or indigestion, and one person each reported fatigue and muscle pain. Since we cannot check the safety of Bibhitaki, Haritaki, and Aragvadha, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about those ingredients if you're concerned.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you use anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs (Moderate severity), aspirin (Moderate), clopidogrel/Plavix (Moderate), or diabetes medications (Moderate). Indian gooseberry in this blend may increase bleeding risk or lower blood sugar unexpectedly.
No interactions are documented for the other herbal ingredients we could not check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Cleanse may appeal to you if you're looking for traditional digestive support and tolerate the herbal ingredients well. If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, aspirin, clopidogrel, or diabetes medications, you'll want to check with your doctor or pharmacist first—Indian gooseberry can affect how these work.
The same goes if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any bleeding disorder. A conversation with your own healthcare provider will help you decide if this product fits your situation.

Cleanse by Paradise Ayur-Pro Rx Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Paradise Ayur-Pro Rx Cleanse contains Indian gooseberry (amalaki), which interacts with several medication types.
The most serious concern is bleeding risk: Indian gooseberry may thin your blood and increase bleeding time if you take anticoagulants (blood thinners), antiplatelet drugs, aspirin, or clopidogrel (Plavix). Research on this is mixed, but clinical studies show it does reduce platelet clumping by about 24% to 36% and extends bleeding time by roughly 4 to 6 seconds at the doses tested.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Indian gooseberry may also lower your blood sugar. If you take diabetes medications, combining this product could raise your risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), and your doctor might need to adjust your dose.
We couldn't check three other herbal ingredients in this blend—organic Bibhitaki, organic Haritaki, and organic Aragvadha (Cassia fistula) extract—because we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 208 individual medications.
Please use the search tool below to check your exact medications before starting this product, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you take any blood thinner, antiplatelet drug, or diabetes medication.
