HelloPharmacist Scorecard of CoQ10 100 mg by Bronson
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), a compound your body makes naturally and also obtains from foods like fish and meat. It plays a role in energy production inside your cells.
The capsule itself includes inactive ingredients—dicalcium phosphate, modified cellulose, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide—which help form and preserve the supplement.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
CoQ10 is likely effective for CoQ10 deficiency itself. For other uses—fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure, and diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes)—the evidence is possibly effective, meaning there's some support but it's not definitive.
If you're considering this for a specific condition, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about what the research actually shows for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ10 is generally well tolerated when used as directed. In clinical studies, no serious adverse effects were reported.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal—appetite suppression, diarrhea, indigestion, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting—though these occur in less than 1% of people. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have been reported occasionally; skin itching and allergic rash are rare.
If you're pregnant, there isn't enough reliable safety data, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise. Safety while breastfeeding hasn't been well studied either; talk with your doctor before use.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start, double-check with your pharmacist if you take warfarin or any other blood thinner—CoQ10 may reduce its effectiveness. Also flag any chemotherapy drugs you're on, especially alkylating agents.
If you're on blood pressure medication, mention CoQ10 so your dose can be monitored if needed.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ10 may help if you have a documented deficiency or want to explore it for heart health or migraines, but it's not a first-line treatment for anything. If you take warfarin, blood pressure medication, or chemotherapy, check with your pharmacist first—this supplement can interfere.
Otherwise, it's generally safe, though gastrointestinal upset can happen in a small number of people.

CoQ10 100 mg by Bronson Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Bronson's CoQ10 100 mg contains one active ingredient—coenzyme Q10—which does interact with certain medications.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin). CoQ10 has a chemical structure similar to vitamin K, which can promote clotting; this may reduce warfarin's ability to thin your blood.
Four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness linked to CoQ10 have been reported.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
CoQ10 may also interfere with some chemotherapy drugs, particularly alkylating agents such as cyclophosphamide. Because CoQ10 is an antioxidant, it could theoretically protect cancer cells from chemotherapy that works by creating oxidative stress.
This is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not confirmed cases.
Additionally, CoQ10 might add to the blood-pressure-lowering effect of antihypertensive medications, though the evidence here is mixed—some studies show CoQ10 lowers blood pressure, others don't. Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications.
If you take warfarin, a blood pressure medication, or chemotherapy, check your exact drugs with the tool below before starting this supplement.

Coenzyme Q-10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
