Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Cordy-Gen, a cordyceps mushroom extract. Cordyceps is a fungus used traditionally in herbal medicine and is sometimes studied for energy and athletic performance.
The capsules also contain cellulose and magnesium stearate as inactive ingredients to hold the supplement together.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for cordyceps is mixed and mostly inconclusive. For athletic performance, the data suggests it's possibly ineffective—meaning studies haven't shown it helps.
For sexual dysfunction, asthma, COPD, arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), and lung cancer, there simply isn't enough reliable evidence to say whether it works or not. If you're considering cordyceps for any of these reasons, talk it over with your doctor about what the science actually supports.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Cordyceps is generally well tolerated when used for up to a year, though the overall safety evidence is limited and product quality varies widely. The most common side effects are abdominal discomfort, constipation, and diarrhea—usually uncommon and sometimes reduced by taking it with food.
Dry mouth and throat discomfort have also been reported. There's one case report of liver inflammation (hepatitis) in someone taking a cordyceps product, but it's unclear whether cordyceps itself or a contaminant was to blame.
Because there isn't enough safety data, the facts advise against cordyceps during pregnancy and while breastfeeding—talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel—cordyceps may increase bleeding risk. Also flag immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine, which cordyceps might interfere with.
If you're on testosterone therapy, mention it as well, though the significance here is less clear.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Cordyceps may be worth considering if you're interested in traditional mushroom supplements and have no concerns about bleeding or immune suppression, but the evidence it actually works for common uses is weak or absent. If you take blood thinners, immunosuppressants, or testosterone therapy, you'll want to check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting—the interactions are theoretical but not trivial.
Pregnant or nursing? The safety data isn't there, so talk with your doctor first.

Cordyceps Mushroom by Wonder Laboratories Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Cordyceps Mushroom by Wonder Laboratories has documented interactions with three medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, aspirin, and clopidogrel)—cordyceps may increase bleeding risk, though this hasn't been reported in people, only in lab and animal studies.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
It may also interfere with immunosuppressants like cyclosporine used after transplants or for autoimmune conditions. Animal research suggests cordyceps revs up immune function, which could work against these drugs' intended effect.
Additionally, cordyceps theoretically might have additive effects with testosterone therapy, though the real-world significance of this is unclear.
Altogether, these interactions span 249 individual medications. Before you start, use the interaction checker below to run your exact prescriptions against this product.

Cordy-Gen
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that cordyceps stimulates the immune system. However, limited clinical research suggests that taking cordyceps may lower the necessary therapeutic dose of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine, which suggests that cordyceps may have an immunosuppressive effect.
Testosterone
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps and testosterone might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that cordyceps can increase testosterone levels. The clinical significance of this finding is unclear.
