Enoxaparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Cordyceps interacts with.

Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Enoxaparin (Lovenox) is an injectable blood thinner that prevents clots from forming. Cordyceps is a different story, but it works in the same general direction. In lab and animal studies, cordyceps appeared to make platelets (the cells that help blood clot) a little less sticky. So in theory, pairing it with Lovenox could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical and comes from test tubes and animals, not real patients. It has never actually been reported in people. Still, since you're already on a strong anticoagulant, it's worth a quick heads-up. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, pink or red urine, or bleeding gums, and please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding cordyceps.

Cordyceps is a fungus used in traditional Chinese medicine for energy, exercise performance, and lung and immune support. Human research is limited and mostly low quality, so its benefits are not well proven. It appears generally well tolerated in the short term, but quality varies and it should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to lack of safety data.

About Enoxaparin Injection

What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Lovenox

Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.

It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).
