Wild Cordyceps sinensis is one of the most precious and expensive herbs in the entire world. The best Cordyceps grows in the Himalayas at around 15,000 feet elevation, just below the snowline. It has been revered in Tibetan and Chinese herbalism as a life-enhancing superstar for centuries. Rare, potent and balanced, more precious than gold, Wild Cordyceps tonifies both the kidney and the lungs and supports sexual functions, brain power, structural integrity, and immunity. Cordyceps is a major lung tonic.
Formulation
It can be used to strengthen respiratory power. It is a powerful athletes' tonic by improving athletic performance and muscle-building capability.

Directions: Add the amount of botanicals per a recipe, as desired, or as directed by a health practitioner. The proper way of extracting botanicals depends on parts used. Flowers, fruits and leaves can usually be steeped or decocted (boiling over fire) while stems, barks and roots typically require decocting. In a Desktop Botanical Garden Glass Tea & Elixir maker, add 1 part botanical(s) and 5-8 parts water, steep or decoct for 5-20 minutes. You can boil water directly in the elixir maker. Repeat this process for 2nd or 3rd extraction until all active constituents have been extracted.

Cordyceps
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that cordyceps stimulates the immune system. However, limited clinical research suggests that taking cordyceps may lower the necessary therapeutic dose of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine, which suggests that cordyceps may have an immunosuppressive effect.
Testosterone
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps and testosterone might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that cordyceps can increase testosterone levels. The clinical significance of this finding is unclear.
