Digest-Fix Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Digest-Fix against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Digest-Fix by Power Blendz Nutrition
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Digest-Fix contains 26 active and inactive ingredients. The active components are digestive enzymes — Amylase, Papain, Bromelain, Protease, Lipase, Lactase, Cellulase, Peptidase, Invertase, Xylanase, Pectinase, Phytase, Hemicellulase, Beta Glucanase, Alpha Galactosidase, and Glucomylase — designed to break down fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and fiber so your body can absorb them better.
The formula also includes two Bacillus coagulans probiotics (beneficial bacteria), a probiotic blend, PreforPro (a prebiotic blend meant to feed good bacteria), and bacteriophages (viruses that target harmful bacteria). The remaining ingredients are inert fillers and the capsule material.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The evidence for most of Digest-Fix's ingredients is limited. Lactase is established as effective for lactose intolerance, and Bacillus coagulans is rated possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
For the other active enzymes and components — papain, bromelain, protease, lipase, phytase, and the probiotic blend — the data we hold shows insufficient reliable evidence to rate their effectiveness for any condition. This doesn't mean they don't work; it means human studies backing their use aren't yet robust enough to make a definitive claim.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of Digest-Fix's enzymes are generally well tolerated short-term at normal doses. However, papain may irritate your digestive tract or trigger allergic reactions in sensitive people, and high doses can rarely cause severe stomach injury or esophageal damage.
Bromelain commonly causes diarrhea, gas, and stomach upset, and may trigger allergic reactions including asthma and throat swelling in some individuals. Protease and Phytase also carry a risk of digestive upset and allergic reactions.
The probiotics (Bacillus coagulans) are generally well tolerated in healthy people but rarely may cause infection in those with severe immune compromise or central lines. Lactase caused one reported allergic reaction in occupational exposure but is otherwise considered safe.
For pregnancy, the safety data advises against papain and bromelain; data is insufficient for the other enzymes and probiotics, so talk with your doctor. During breastfeeding, the data is similarly limited or advises caution for most ingredients.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Digest-Fix, double-check if you're on warfarin or other blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs — bromelain and papain may raise your bleeding risk. If you take antibiotics, space them several hours apart from this product so the probiotics survive.
Tetracycline antibiotics may have their levels altered, though evidence is mixed.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take a blood thinner like warfarin or an antibiotic, check your exact medications with us before starting Digest-Fix — papain and bromelain may thin your blood further, and antibiotics may interfere with the probiotics. Otherwise, the enzymes are generally well tolerated in healthy adults at recommended doses.
If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a serious digestive condition, ask your pharmacist or doctor first.

Digest-Fix by Power Blendz Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Digest-Fix by Power Blendz Nutrition does interact with certain medications.
The most serious concern is papain, one of the digestive enzymes in this formula, which may increase the effects and side effects of warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. One case report documented a patient stable on warfarin whose blood-thinning level spiked dangerously after taking a papain-containing supplement.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Bromelain, another enzyme in the product, may increase bleeding risk if you're taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin or clopidogrel. There is a case report of minor bruising in someone combining bromelain with naproxen.
Bromelain also theoretically may increase levels of tetracycline antibiotics, though one human study found no difference in drug levels.
Backillus coagulans, a probiotic in this formula, may be killed off by antibiotics taken at the same time, potentially reducing its effectiveness. The two should be separated by a few hours.
Alternate active ingredients in the product — Protease, Lipase, Lactase, and Phytase — were checked and show no documented interactions. Several other enzymes (Amylase, Cellulase, Peptidase, Invertase, Xylanase, Pectinase, Hemicellulase, Beta Glucanase, Yeast Fermentate Dried, Alpha Galactosidase, and Glucomylase) could not be checked because we hold no data on them.
Altogether, these interactions span 306 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before starting.

For each ingredient in Digest-Fix with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Probiotic Blend
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Bromelain
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Bromelain may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
There is one case report of a patient experiencing minor bruising while taking bromelain with naproxen. Bromelain is thought to have antiplatelet activity. Whether this interaction is of concern with topical bromelain is unclear. Interference with coagulation of burn wounds has been reported in a patient receiving bromelain-based enzymatic debridement. However, observational research has found that topical bromelain debridement is not associated with increases or decreases in laboratory markers of coagulation when compared with surgical debridement.
Tetracycline Antibiotics
Theoretically, bromelain might increase levels of tetracycline antibiotics.
Laboratory research suggests that bromelain might increase the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics. However, a study in healthy adults reported no difference in tetracycline plasma levels when a 500 mg dose was taken with or without bromelain 80 mg.
Papain
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, papain might increase the effects and side effects of warfarin.
In one case report, a patient previously stable on warfarin was found to have an international normalization ratio (INR) of 7.4, which was attributed to ingestion of a supplement containing papain from papaya extract.
