What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: dill seed glycerite liquid extract. It's flavored with chocolate and mixed with glycerin, which is the liquid base.
That's it — no fillers or binders beyond the inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that dill seed works for the conditions it's sometimes used for — aging skin, high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), labor pain, or period cramps (dysmenorrhea) all fall short of reliable proof. If you're considering this for one of those reasons, talk with us about what the science actually shows.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Dill in food amounts is generally well tolerated. As a concentrated supplement like this one, the safety data is thin — we don't have thorough studies on medicinal doses.
Some people are allergic to dill; reactions have ranged from mild (itching, rash, swollen eyes) to severe (anaphylaxis, vomiting, diarrhea). If you've never had dill before, start cautiously.
Topical contact can cause dermatitis or a sun-sensitive skin reaction.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your antidiabetes medications (like glimepiride or glyburide) — dill may lower blood sugar further and require a dose change. If you take lithium, dill's diuretic effect could raise lithium levels.
Run your exact medications through the tool on this page before starting.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a single-ingredient dill extract that carries real interaction risks with blood sugar drugs and lithium. If you take either of those, or any other prescription medications, check them against this product before you buy.
Even if you're clear on interactions, the effectiveness data is weak for what dill is often sold to do.

Dill Seed Chocolate Flavor by TerraVita Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Dill Seed Glycerite Liquid Extract by TerraVita can interact with medications you may be taking.
The most serious concern is with antidiabetes drugs — dill extract may lower blood sugar in the same way these medications do, raising the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). If you take drugs like glimepiride or glyburide, you'll need to watch your blood glucose closely and possibly adjust your dose.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Dill also has diuretic properties (it increases urine output), which could theoretically affect how your body handles lithium. Because lithium levels need to stay in a careful range, this could require a dose adjustment.
Altogether, these interactions span 86 individual medications. Use the medication checker below with your exact prescriptions before starting this product.

Dill Seed Glycerite Liquid Extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, dill extract might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Animal research shows that dill extract can reduce blood sugar levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
Lithium
Dill is thought to have diuretic properties. Theoretically, due to these potential diuretic effects, dill might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
