What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking DIM-100 against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.

What’s inside
Full disclosure
DIM-100 contains one active ingredient: diindolylmethane (DIM), a compound derived from cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cabbage. The capsule also contains several inactive ingredients — hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, rice flour, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, and ascorbyl palmitate — which are fillers and binders that help hold the capsule together.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence we hold on diindolylmethane does not establish its effectiveness for any condition. It's been studied for prostate health (benign prostatic hyperplasia), breast cancer, colorectal cancer, cervical dysplasia, and breast tenderness, but the research is currently insufficient to rate whether it actually works for any of these uses.
If you're considering it for a specific health goal, it's worth asking what the research actually shows.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Diindolylmethane is generally well tolerated in short-term studies, though long-term safety isn't well established. The most common side effects are diarrhea, gas, headache, nausea, rash, and vomiting.
A rare serious reaction called DRESS (drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) has been reported. One case of stroke was noted in a patient on 200 mg daily, but that person had multiple stroke risk factors and was taking several other supplements, making it unclear whether diindolylmethane played a role.
For pregnancy, the safety data advises that diindolylmethane is likely safe. However, the data notes it's best avoided during breastfeeding because there isn't enough safety information available.
If you're pregnant or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before starting DIM-100, double-check any estrogen-based drugs (birth control, hormone replacement therapy) — diindolylmethane might change how they work. Also flag any sodium-depleting diuretics (water pills) you take, and any medications processed by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2.
Use the medication checker on this page to verify your exact prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
DIM-100 is a single-ingredient supplement that's generally well tolerated short-term, but its effectiveness for any condition isn't established yet. If you take hormone-based medications, water pills that affect sodium, or certain other drugs, you need to check them with us first — the interactions are real.
Pregnant women may use it, but avoid it while breastfeeding.

DIM-100 by OL Olympian Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
DIM-100 by OL Olympian Labs contains diindolylmethane, which has documented interactions with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with hormone-based drugs — diindolylmethane might increase or decrease how estrogens (including birth control and hormone replacement therapy) work in your body, and theoretically large doses could interfere with hormone replacement therapy.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Water pills (diuretics) that lower sodium are a Moderate concern; in rare cases, high-dose diindolylmethane (600 mg daily) has been linked to low blood sodium (hyponatremia). If you take a sodium-depleting diuretic, this is worth discussing with us before you start.
There's also a Minor interaction with a group of drugs processed by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2 — diindolylmethane might speed up how your body clears them, potentially lowering their effectiveness. This hasn't been reported in humans, but it's theoretically possible.
Altogether, these interactions span 269 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before you begin.

Diindolylmethane
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, diindolylmethane might increase the risk of hyponatremia if used with sodium-depleting diuretics.
Large doses of diindolylmethane (600 mg daily) have been associated with two cases of asymptomatic hyponatremia in clinical research.
Estrogens
Theoretically, diindolylmethane might increase or decrease the effects of estrogens.
Diindolylmethane might have mild estrogenic or antiestrogenic effects. Theoretically, large amounts of diindolylmethane might interfere with hormone replacement therapy.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, diindolylmethane might lower serum levels of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro evidence suggests that diindolylmethane can induce CYP1A2. Theoretically, it might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
