Ergo+ has two active ingredients: L-ergothioneine and beta-(1,3)(1,6)-glucans (beta-glucans, for short), plus a Golden Oyster Mushroom Extract. L-ergothioneine is an amino acid found naturally in mushrooms and other foods, while beta-glucans are compounds in mushroom cell walls believed to support immune and cardiovascular health.
The product also contains inactive ingredients—hypromellose, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, and microcrystalline cellulose—which are common capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Not established
The data shows beta-glucans are likely effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and coronary heart disease, based on clinical research. L-ergothioneine is being studied for coronary heart disease and joint pain, but there isn't enough reliable evidence yet to rate how well it works for either condition.
If heart health or cholesterol is why you're considering this product, the beta-glucans ingredient has some support; for other uses, the evidence isn't established in our data.

Beta-glucans from food are generally well tolerated, but concentrated supplements (like this one) don't have enough long-term safety data, so use caution. L-ergothioneine appears well tolerated in foods and short-term studies, though long-term supplement safety isn't well established.
For pregnancy: L-ergothioneine should be avoided—there isn't enough safety data on supplement doses. Beta-glucans in pregnancy also lack adequate research, so caution is advised.
For breastfeeding: L-ergothioneine should be avoided, and beta-glucans have little research at supplement doses, so caution applies there too. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using Ergo+ if you're pregnant or nursing.
