HistaQuel contains 6 active ingredients designed to support histamine response and allergy relief. Butterbur root extract and nettle are both traditionally used for allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and have some evidence supporting their use, though the strength of that evidence differs.
Quercefit, Luteolin, Fisetin, and Perilla frutescens leaf extract round out the formula with compounds from plant sources. There are also three inactive ingredients—hypromellose, rice, and L-leucine—which serve as capsule material and stabilizers.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence supporting HistaQuel's ingredients is mixed. Butterbur root extract is possibly effective for migraine headaches and hay fever—two of the main uses people reach for it for.
Nettle is possibly effective for diabetes-related blood sugar control, but for hay fever and other conditions it's backed by insufficient evidence. For the other ingredients—Quercefit, Luteolin, Fisetin, and Perilla—either we don't have effectiveness data on file, or the evidence is rated as insufficient to make a judgment.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Butterbur and nettle are generally well tolerated when used as directed, but each comes with important caveats. Butterbur's main safety concern is that raw forms and some supplements contain liver-damaging compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids; HistaQuel should use PA-free extract, and the product label should confirm this.
Common side effects from butterbur include belching, diarrhea, drowsiness, fatigue, headache, and stomach upset. Nettle's most common side effects are constipation and diarrhea.
A rare case of liver injury has been reported with a nettle-containing herbal product, though causality was unclear. Perilla carries a rare risk of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), especially in people with seed allergies.
Neither butterbur nor nettle should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding—the safety data advises against it. Perilla and luteolin lack sufficient safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding; talk with your doctor before using during those times.
Quercefit and Fisetin have no pregnancy/breastfeeding information on file.

Also mention any medications that induce CYP3A4, a liver enzyme—butterbur could theoretically become more toxic if that enzyme speeds up.

The most serious concern is butterbur root extract, which theoretically may increase the toxicity of drugs that induce CYP3A4 (a liver enzyme system). This happens because butterbur's potentially toxic compounds are processed by that same enzyme, and when inducers speed that processing up, the harmful metabolites could accumulate.

Nettle carries multiple Moderate interactions. It may lower blood sugar alongside diabetes medications, potentially strengthening their effect.
It also has diuretic properties that could add to diuretic drugs' effects, and it may reduce how your body clears lithium, raising its levels. Additionally, nettle contains vitamin K, which in large amounts could interfere with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner.
Two ingredients—Quercefit and Luteolin—we could not check because we hold no data for them. Perilla frutescens leaf extract was checked and has no interactions documented in our data, though it does carry rare reports of serious allergic reactions.

Nettle
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, stinging nettle might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that stinging nettle might decrease blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, combining stinging nettle with diuretic drugs may have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that the above ground parts and roots of stinging nettle may have a diuretic effect.
Lithium
Theoretically, stinging nettle might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium.
Animal research suggests that stinging nettle has diuretic and natriuretic properties, which could alter the excretion of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is some concern that stinging nettle might decrease the effects of anticoagulant drugs such as warfarin.
Stinging nettle contains a significant amount of vitamin K. When taken in large quantities, this might interfere with the activity of warfarin.
Butterbur root extract
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Inducers
Theoretically, CYP3A4 inducers might increase the toxicity of butterbur.
The pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA) constituents found in some butterbur products are substrates of CYP3A4. Theoretically, drugs that induce CYP3A4 might increase the conversion of PAs to toxic metabolites.
