Motherwort is traditionally thought to stimulate the uterus and should be avoided in pregnancy. The safety data on it are limited; when taken by mouth, the most common side effects are diarrhea and stomach irritation.

Doses over 3 grams may cause uterine bleeding. Lemongrass and mugwort are also considered likely unsafe in pregnancy.

Linden is generally well tolerated as a tea, though one person reported an allergic reaction to linden pollen. Lemon balm is generally well tolerated for short-term use, though high doses and long-term safety aren't well studied; it should be avoided in pregnancy unless your doctor advises otherwise, and you should talk to your doctor before using it while breastfeeding.

Theoretically, lemongrass might decrease the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
Animal research shows that lemongrass and its constituent citral inhibit CYP3A4.

Theoretically, concomitant use of lemon balm might have additive effects with CNS depressant drugs.
Lemon balm seems to have CNS depressant activity in animals and in humans.

Thyroid Hormone

Theoretically, lemon balm might interfere with thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
In vitro, constituents of lemon balm extract bind to thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), preventing TSH receptor-binding and leading to the inhibition of TSH-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity. In animals, lemon balm extract has been shown to decrease levels of circulating TSH and inhibit thyroid secretion.
