Here's the simple version. The oxycodone part of Percocet already slows down your brain and nervous system, which is how it eases pain but also why it can make you sleepy, foggy, or slow your breathing. Lemon balm seems to have its own mild calming effect, so taking the two together may stack those effects and leave you more drowsy, dizzy, or sluggish than you'd expect.

This isn't a chemical that changes how your body breaks the drug down, so oxycodone isn't being made stronger in your blood. It's more of an additive sleepiness concern, and honestly the evidence here is on the lighter side. Still, while you're on this medicine, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding lemon balm, especially as a concentrated supplement.
