What is this page for?

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
LadyBiotic UTH contains 7 active ingredients, all probiotics — beneficial bacteria and related microorganisms meant to support gut health. The three we have interaction data for are Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, and Bifidobacterium longum.
The product also includes Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Bifidobacterium lactis, plus a proprietary blend. These are all live, active microorganisms in capsule form.
The inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, FOS (fructooligosaccharides, a prebiotic fiber), silica, and magnesium stearate — standard capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these specific probiotics varies by condition. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Bifidobacterium breve and Bifidobacterium longum have insufficient reliable evidence or showed no benefit for most of the conditions studied — their ratings are either "insufficient evidence to rate" or "possibly ineffective." Overall, the evidence supporting this blend's effectiveness for any particular condition is limited in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotics in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, since these are live microorganisms, rare but serious infections (bacteremia, sepsis) have been documented in critically ill, severely immunocompromised, or very young patients — so caution is advised if you fall into those groups and you should discuss use with your doctor.
Common mild side effects from probiotics can include bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea, though these are uncommon. One small clinical trial reported rare rash and itching, though it's unclear whether these were due to the probiotics themselves.
For pregnancy, Lactobacillus acidophilus is rated possibly safe. Bifidobacterium longum is also possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation.
We have no pregnancy or lactation data on file for Bifidobacterium breve or the other Lactobacillus species in the blend, so talk with your doctor if you're pregnant or nursing and considering this product.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking LadyBiotic UTH if you're on antibiotic drugs — the most common concern with this product. Antibiotics may reduce how well the probiotics work, so separating when you take them is important.
For your exact medications, use the search tool on this page.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
LadyBiotic UTH is a multi-strain probiotic meant to support urinary and digestive health. If you take antibiotics, you'll need to time this product carefully — your doctor or pharmacist can help you space them out so the antibiotic doesn't kill the beneficial bacteria.
If you're critically ill, immunocompromised, very young, or pregnant or nursing, check with your doctor before starting. Run your medication list through the checker on this page to make sure nothing else in your regimen conflicts.

LadyBiotic UTH by Vinco Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
LadyBiotic UTH by Vinco is a probiotic blend that interacts with antibiotic drugs through its Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, and Bifidobacterium longum content.
All three can theoretically reduce how well the probiotic works if taken at the same time as antibiotics, because antibiotics may kill the live organisms in the preparation. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The concern is Moderate severity: antibiotics might decrease the effectiveness of these beneficial bacteria. If you're on an antibiotic, the remedy is straightforward — separate when you take them.
Your doctor or pharmacist can advise you on the right timing (often several hours apart is enough).
We couldn't check three other ingredients in this product — Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Bifidobacterium lactis — because we hold no interaction data for them. That doesn't mean they don't interact; it means the data aren't on file.

Lactobacillus acidophilus
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Bifidobacterium breve
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
Bifidobacterium longum
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium longum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. longum.
Since B. longum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. longum preparations by at least 2 hours.
