Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This powder contains two active ingredients: leucine and agmatine. Leucine is a branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) — one of the building blocks your body uses to build and repair muscle.
Agmatine is a compound derived from arginine, an amino acid that plays a role in blood vessel function and other metabolic processes. The product also includes inactive ingredients like buffering salts, taurine, citric and malic acids, silica, artificial flavors, and sweeteners.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that agmatine is effective for any of the conditions listed on this product — alcohol use disorder, Alzheimer disease, anxiety, athletic performance, autism spectrum disorder, or bipolar disorder all show insufficient reliable evidence to rate. Because leucine wasn't checked in our system, we can't speak to its evidence base either.
If you're considering this for a specific health goal, talk with your doctor about whether the research supports it and whether it's right for you.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Short-term use of agmatine appears to be generally well tolerated. The most common side effects in clinical studies were diarrhea, indigestion (dyspepsia), and nausea — mild-to-moderate diarrhea and nausea appeared in a few patients within 2–3 days and resolved when they stopped taking it.
Long-term safety in humans hasn't been well studied, so we don't know what happens with extended use. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your blood pressure medications and diabetes drugs before taking this product. Agmatine carries a moderate risk of lowering blood pressure too much when combined with antihypertensive drugs, and a moderate risk of dropping blood sugar too low with diabetes medications.
Bring a list of your exact medications to your pharmacist or doctor to be sure.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a two-ingredient amino acid powder aimed at muscle support, but the evidence for its listed health claims isn't solid yet. If you take blood pressure or diabetes medications, you'll need to check your specific drugs with your doctor or pharmacist before starting — agmatine can lower blood pressure and blood sugar, which could be risky when combined with those medications.
Short-term use seems okay for most people, but talk with your healthcare provider about whether it's right for you.

L-Leucine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot synthesize on its own. Research shows that L-Leucine can help stimulate muscle protein synthesis and preserve muscle tissue.
Agmatine, in the preferred Agmatine Sulfate form, has shown greater potential than L-Arginine for nitric oxide synthase, in early stage work. Additionally, Agmatine has been suggested in the scientific literature to have other properties that could have direct benefits to athletes and bodybuilders, too.

Leucine Agma Blue Lemonade by BPI Sports Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Leucine Agma Blue Lemonade by BPI Sports contains agmatine, which has documented interactions with blood pressure medications and diabetes drugs.
The most serious concern is a moderate risk of dangerously low blood pressure when combined with antihypertensive drugs — agmatine can lower heart rate and blood pressure on its own, and adding a blood pressure medication on top of that raises the risk. We could not check leucine for interactions.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Agmatine also carries a moderate interaction with diabetes medications. Animal research suggests it may have mild blood-sugar-lowering effects, so taking it alongside antidiabetes drugs could theoretically push your blood sugar too low (hypoglycemia).
Altogether, these interactions span 258 individual medications.
If you take any blood pressure or diabetes medication, run your specific drugs through the interaction checker below before starting this product. Your doctor or pharmacist can tell you whether it's safe to add alongside what you're on right now.
